Follow @tradebit_com
Ralf first got into eCommerce at the age of 22 when he launched the first internet shopping mall
in Germany in 1995. His background as a Commodore AMIGA game developer and book helped him to
thrive in the new internet era.
In 1997 he founded the open source eCommerce company intraDAT, and from 1997 to 2000 was a key
member of the management board.
Between 2000 to 2002 he was CEO of intraDAT International, Inc (based in Reston, VA) where he
delivered several presentations on open source development and Linux eCommerce projects.
He is still an active member of the Linux community and sponsors several open source projects.
Ralf delivers 2-3 presentations a year on eCommerce and SEO related topics at various top industry
conferences in both Europe and the US.
As the founder of Tradebit, Inc. he has led the way for business development and company strategy.
In 2009 he moved back to Germany and since then our US team is running
the US operations of Tradebit. He is still our advisor and helps with platform development.
Ralf still loves to code in PHP, however, and his colleagues try to keep him away from the keyboard as
much as possible.
He is married and an active blogger here.
